Hi,
my name is Heidi and I would like to share my personal
story.
I have dieted and been overweight
almost my entire life. My first official diet
I remember was when I was a mere 9 years old. It
was not easy being the chubby kid and even more
depressing to be an overweight, low self-esteemed
teenager. It was not long before I became
a secluded and more despaired young adult. The
weight I carried was my own personal prison that
held me captive from the outside world, as I was
ashamed and embarrassed to be in public. Depression,
fatigue, joint aches and high blood pressure plagued
me, which greatly took its toll on my physical and
mental well-being. I tried so many different
ways to lose weight all to no avail nothing worked.
I was on so many diets, you know the infamous
yo-yo syndrome.
A few years ago, I lost a substantial
amount of weight on a high protein/low carbohydrate
program which resulted in excess stress on
some vital organs and regaining all weight plus
extra pounds as soon as I incorporated some carbohydrates
back into my daily nutrition. I did not go
overboard or crazy with things that I sustained
from but I do feel that I could no longer manage
working the program that was set before me. I
do know that method of dieting happened particularly
not to be the best for my system.
I remember Cambridge being available
in the 1980's and was curious to see if this product
was still accessible. I found that, indeed
it was, and ordered my first shipment that day.
Three days later, I began what changed my
life forever and has been very easy for me to lose
the extra weight almost effortlessly. When
I rethink how I felt over the past years while
"dieting", I never felt as good as I do
now.
I recall the thoughts that consumed
me to what I could or could not have.
Cambridge completely eliminated the frustration
of too many decisions and left me feeling very satisfied
and healthy. The increased energy and physical
stamina was apparent from the very beginning and
the weight loss was a steady amount the entire time.
Not once, did I feel deprived not did I crave
things that I had previously craved on every diet
I had tried before.
My line of work allows me to
see people on a 6-month or less interval and the
support and the encouragement I received as people
noticed me slimming down helped keep me motivated.
Many people thought that I had actually had
my stomach stapled. As I began to walk and
enjoy being outdoors, this led to increased mileage
in my exercise routine, it was soon after that,
I was able to begin to jog and lift weights to add
versatility.
In twelve months I am proud to
say I had lost a whopping 185
pounds and have gone from a size 26/28
to a 12. I
am still a work in progress as I am on my way to
reaching my goal of a size 10.
I am a 10/12 now and on my way to an 8.
